Hau Lee, in addition to being Thoma Professor of Operations, Information and Technology at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, is also Director of the Global Supply Chain Management Forum and the Institute for Innovations in Developing Economies.
He has published widely in academic and business journals, and was Editor-in-Chief of Management Science. He was elected to the US National Academy of Engineering, and is a Fellow of the Production and Operations Management Society and the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS).
Prof Lee holds degrees from The University of Hong Kong, the London School of Economics and Political Science and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds Honorary Doctorates from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the Erasmus University of Rotterdam.
